It normally consisted of 2 teams of 3 people, all of whom were popular music artists. The rounds would consist of film clips followed by questions about that particular artists, beat the intro type things a lyric round and a quick fire round. The special edition broadcast at Christmas in 1984 featured for the first and only time, two bands competing against each other.
Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran.
Unfortuantely for Spandau fans, Duran Duran won. The scores were really close, but the demise started on the lyric round when Gary got his question wrong. Each band were being asked to identify the others lyrics. Thankfully for Gary, this was not the only wrong question as Duran did pull away in the final quick fire round. |
